|Throughout the Iron Man and Avengers films we've seen Tony Stark continue to modify and improve his armors, with Iron Man 3 really showing off the range of possibilities in purpose-built systems. In Avengers: Age of Ultron Iron Man returned to more classically-inspired looks with his armors, first the Mark 43 and now the Mark 45. While they may appear similar at first glance, the two successive armors have lots of differences. The Mark 45 has a familiar shape with segmented armor panels, outer plating revealing technological details underneath, reinforced sections on the torso, shoulders, and thighs, and repulsor units for flight stabilization and energy blasts. This Iron Man suit stands out from previous versions with an even sleeker form, designs on the chest and forearm armor, an updated helmet with more expressive eyes, and a first-ever hexagonal Chest Repulsor Transmitter! Iron Man shows off all of these great details in a powerful presentation, standing at the ready with a wide stance and both hands angled to reveal the palm-mounted repulsors. Of course, no matter the upgrades the armor still shines in bright red and gold with additional accents in silver, black, and white.
