|A tiny Japanese company that produced diecast monster toys under the brand name of "Arklon." These toys also saw release in America in the early 1980s. Ark is an enigma. Where did they come from? Where did they go? Who the heck knows! They're a mystery even to Japanese toy experts. They seem to be obliquely related to the famed vinyl-maker Bullmark, but even this remains in the realm of conjecture. In spite of the questions surrounding Ark's hazy background, there's absolutely no doubt about the fact that their series of six "Arklon" diecast monster toys represent everything that's right about Japanese toy-design.
