| M.U.S.C.L.E. originated from the Japanese comic Kinnikuman, which is the name of a race of Super Men. The comic featured classic good vs. evil battles, with lots of wrestling! The many characters were made into toys. The toyline, comic, and cartoons were an instant hit in Japan. This got Mattel's attention, who brought it to America as "M.U.S.C.L.E.".
The line consists of small non-articulated wrestlers. At first they were all pink, but when interest in the toy line was diminishing, colored figures were issued.
