Shrek is the main character of the movie since it's named after him. As we know, he is a green ogre with very weird ears. Although Shrek has a startling look, he is smart, kind, sensitive, caring, has a great sense of humor and is one hell of a great cook but keeps to himself and scares anyone who tries to approach him. The reason for this is that he feels sad and lonely when people run away, flinch, laugh or whisper to each other when they see him.
