Calling himself Deadman, his act not only defied death, it appealed to the death wish in the crowds. One evening, as he was reaching the climax of his Deadman act, Brand was shot by an assassin. But his spirit lived on, rescued from the Afterworlds by the goddess of balance Rama Kushna. |
