| □ | US Pilot Late in 1941 the US was not well prepared for war with Japan and the attack on the Pearl Harbor caught the forces there by surprise. Available to the Air Force at that time was the Curtis P-40 Warhawk. Unfortunately, the majority of these aircraft were destroyed on the ground in the attack on Pearl and those that were able to take to the air were no match for the superior numbers of the Japanese. The P-40 pilots were valiant and courageous despite being ill prepared. |
