About Arco Toys    
Steven Geller began his career in the toy industry in 1962, is the former president of Arco Toys, Inc. and, after its acquisition by Mattel, served as a member of Mattel's senior management executive committee.

In 1986, Mattel acquired Hong Kong-based ARCO Industries, Ltd., a letter of credit business offering low-priced, non-promoted toys principally to U.S. retailers.

Mr. Geller served as President of Arco Toys, Inc., a whollyowned subsidiary of Mattel, from December 1986 through December 1991, and as a consultant for Mattel, from January 1991 through December 1993.
Arco Toys Division Closed    
Toymaker Mattel Inc. will close it Arco Toys division of Westbury (Nassau) by February 2000. Employees were informed earlier this week that Arco is being "folded into" its parent. Arco's 83 employees, most of whom work in the Westbury headquarters, will be offered jobs at Mattel's offices in California, Manhattan and East Aurora, NY. (Newsday - 10/8/99).
