Kotobukiya ARTFX 2008 Star Wars Senate Guard ARTFX Statue - StarWars.com

An exclusive import from Japan's Kotobukiya, this 12' Statue is limited to 1,000 worldwide.
starwars.com/kernel/imageload?table=cat_images;ttl2=15;key1=1223546_img1;key2=-100_img1 name=popup_image>
As the elite security force of Coruscant, the Senate Guard are equally adept with a blaster rifle or unarmed in combat. In addition to their work as body guards and police, the Guard would often investigate crime scenes alongside members of the Jedi Council.
These elite security officers are now captured in a compelling and timeless sculpt as a new addition to Kotobukiya's ARTFX line of collectible vinyl statues. Standing almost 12-inches tall, the ARTFX statue captures the Senate Guard poised to defend the Galactic Senate. The blue Guard's robes and Spartan-esque helmet have been reproduced in exacting detail, and the flowing cloak reveals many details of the uniform not normally seen in any of the films!
With its detailed construction, grand size, and accurate styling, this ARTFX statue is a 1/7 scale snap-fit kit that can be easily put together in seconds without glue or modeling skill.

Kenner 1982 The Adventures of Indiana Jones (Kenner, 1981)
Many collectors are competing over a relatively small number of figures produced, and as such, Indiana Jones is a small but expensive toy line to collect.

The Adventures of Indiana Jones (Kenner, 1981)

Based on characters and scenes from Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Adventures of Indiana Jones were manufactured by Kenner. At that point, Kenner was most well-known for the success of its Star Wars action figures, and so they kept the same scale (the infamous 3-3/4 inches still used as a standard today), except they added articulation to the knees. They created a basic set of figures, a few playsets, and a 12-inch figure. While not much was made, the figures that did get made had a great visual quality and captured the feel of the movie quite well.

The basic figures included Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, Toht, the Cairo Swordsman, Belloq, Sallah, the German Mechanic, and Indiana Jones dressed as a German Soldier. A ninth figure was supposed to be released on a card: Belloq in his Ceremonial Robe. This figure was offered as part of a mail-away promotion, but he was never available carded (proof cards, or prototypes of the card he was supposed to be on, do exist). Two other figures, Indiana Jones from the Map Room scene and Monkey Man, were offered in the Map Room and Streets of Cairo playsets, respectively.

While all the figures are highly prized, Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood are far and away the most desirable two figures. Indiana Jones is the quintessential Indy figure, and often times, he has condition problems. His small pistol and fragile string whip accessories are often missing, and his thumb is almost always broken. Mint loose figures are very expensive. Marion Ravenwood is simply hard-to-find because she was the supposedly unpopular female figure, since marketers didn’t think boys would want to play with a girl action figure.

The playsets are arguably the best part of the line. The Map Room and the Streets of Cairo have plenty of play value. As collectors items, they make for great display pieces with the figures. The Well of Souls is very intricately detailed and serves as a nice centerpiece for any loose Indiana Jones collection. The Desert Convoy Truck was the lone vehicle in the line, and a very hard to find Arabian Horse was also produced.

The 12-inch figure was a redressed and repainted version of the 12-inch Star Wars Han Solo doll, since actor Harrison Ford portrayed both characters. The 12-inch figure used to be the most coveted piece in the entire line, but in recent years, the value has subsided tremendously, since newer and better-looking 1:6 scale versions of Indiana Jones have been produced.

MintInBox.net Sept 2007 Exclusive Medallion Give-Away at Réunion II - StarWars.com
There is another! After the success of collector medallion give-aways at both Star Wars Celebration IV and Celebration Europe, one more medallion is being produced for Réunion II.
The previous two sets of 12 two-inch pewter medallions -- inspired by the first 12 Star Wars action figures released by Kenner Products --already have become sought-after collectibles.
Now MintInBox.net, a major Star Wars French-language collectibles, events, and forum website, has announced that it will sponsors a special 25th medallion in French. It is designed in the vintage-toy tradition and features none other than the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter, Boba Fett.
The design is from Swedish collector Mattias Rendahl, who designed the Celebration Europe medallions, and the production process follows the one established by U.S. collector Chris Georgoulias, who shepherded both previous sets. French collector Stephane Faucourt, author of 'Meccano to Trilogo,' also has been involved in getting the new coin produced.
The new medallion, limited to 500 copies like the others, will be given away during Réunion II.

Koto Unveils Yoda vs. Palpatine
September 04, 2007

[ Koto Unveils Yoda vs. Palpatine ]starwars.com/collecting/news/koto/img/20070904_1_sm.jpg align=right vspace=7 > Coming in February, Kotobukiya adds a stunning new snap-fit figure kit to their celebrated line of Star Wars sculptures: Yoda vs. Palpatine!
This gigantic ARTFX Statue measures over 15 inches long, and almost 11 inches tall (1/7th scale), with both of the figures being independent of the base, allowing you to position the characters as you like within the Senate diorama base. The Force Lightning is cast in a dynamic, translucent material, and is also removable (via optional hands) for a variety of posing options. Spectacularly detailed, from the wrinkles on the future Emperor's face, to the texture pattern on Yoda's robe, this piece stands as a fitting monument to two of the most powerful wielders of the Force.
With its large scale and impeccable paint applications, this ARTFX Statue is a snap-fit kit that can be easily put together in seconds without glue or modeling skill. Kotobukiya's ARTFX Series continues to produce some of the best Star Wars collectibles in the galaxy.

Hasbro Sept 2007 Star Wars - Exclusive Concept Grievous Signature Series Action Figure - StarWars.com

Exclusive Star Wars Concept Grievous Signature Series Action Figure
A new addition to Hasbro's prized Signature Series of Star Wars action figures has arrived, and it's only at StarWarsShop -- Concept Grievous!
General Grievous, the ruthless General of the Separatist Droid Army, began as a series of concept sketches. You might remember this version of General Grievous from the 'Making of Grievous' Web Doc posted on starwars.com. After receiving direction from George Lucas, the concept art team at Skywalker Ranch came up with dozens of designs, including one by conceptual artist Warren Fu.
In Fu's original artwork, the droid commander exhibits a more humanoid form than what we see in Revenge of the Sith -- his cold, calculating efficiency, however, is still readily apparent in the smooth metal casing and skull-like head. Fu's artwork provided the direction for the Grievous that appeared in Episode III, and has been accurately reproduced by Hasbro in this new, exclusive Concept Grievous action figure.
This latest entry to the popular Signature Series exhibits a brand-new sculpt and comes in protective star case.starwars.com/kernel/imageload?table=cat_images;ttl2=15;key1=414198_img1;key2=-100_img1 name=popup_image>

Kenner 1970s-1980s Toy Recycling

Toy 'recycling' is a well-known practice in the toy industry. To keep production and tooling costs down, companies will occasionally borrow a figure, vehicle, or accessory from one of their previous lines to repurpose for a new line. Kenner Products, and later Hasbro, were certainly no strangers to this, and consequently repurposed many of the toys from properties such as Six Million Dollar Man, Steve Scout, Batman, and others to become part of their famed Star Wars lines. What's more, in the years since the original Star Wars toys were released, other toy properties like The Real West, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and the Batman movies have borrowed select pieces from our favorite galaxy to be re-imagined as a 'sonic neutralizer', a Sherwood Forest, and a 'Glamour Gals' stage, among others.
Collector Ron Salvatore recently discussed some of the toys recycled into or from the Star Wars lines as part of the Celebration IV and Celebration Europe collecting panels taking place last summer. Here is an overview of that panel...
There are two reasons why a toy company might want to recycle an old toy design. First, they don't have to incur any of the costs associated with tooling (creating the molds, etc), and second, there is a fast turn-around to get the product to market. Designing and creating a toy can take up to a year, and developing the steel tooling to produce the toy can be extremely expensive. Add to this the elevated risk of merchandising a movie in the first place -- success is hard to predict and the movie may not be in the public eye for long -- it becomes clear why many toy manufactures have taken this shortcut to market.
Believe it or not, there's a certain set of collectors who enjoy rooting out examples of recycled toys, especially those associated with a high profile line like Kenner's vintage Star Wars series. It's the thrill of discovery that drives them, as some of the rarest and oddest items were recycled. What's more, they can provide insight into the economics of the toy industry at the time (were they cutting corners, or stepping up to produce new product?) and even offer clues into the production process itself.
As many fans and especially collectors know, there was very little Star Wars product available when the film first hit in the summer of 1977 -- licensees such as Kenner Products came in relatively late to the game, meaning no new molded toy products would be ready for months -- actually, the next year. So, bowing to pressure from consumers, Kenner pulled out some of their old molds and began stamping them out with the Star Wars brand slapped on them.
Examples of products Kenner had previously released but were re-imagined Star Wars-style include the Dip Dots painting set, Playdoh, the Give-A-Show Projector, and others. The Star Wars hand-cranked movie viewer used the same mold as that of previous properties, but carried Star Wars footage in the interchangeable cassette.
Six Million Dollar Man's electric toothbrush was designed to allow users to see the 'bionic' inner workings in the handle, which vaguely resembled a lightsaber hilt. Voila! Instant lightsaber toothbrush after the interior cardboard graphics were replaced with Star Wars art. Kenner changed up the interior graphics for their Empire and Jedi versions, and finally re-sculpted the handle for an Ewoks version in 1984.
Kenner's Six Million Dollar Man 'CB Headset Radio Receiver' was magically transformed into a Star Wars AM Headset radio loosely resembling the ones worn by Luke and Han during the Star Wars gunport sequence from the movie. Kenner simply replaced the CB transceiver with an AM receiver, altered the color of the plastic, and slapped on some Star Wars stickers.

Aug 2007 Fran Neumann, sculptor, former Kenner employee.

FAIRHOPE — Fran Neumann is a sculptor whose reputation as an artist is rapidly growing.

Fairhope sculptor Fran Neumann stands beside one of her works, a self-portrait in bronze. Photo by Judith Richards.
Her most visible work to date is the bronze statue of Marietta Johnson on the bluff overlooking the pier in Fairhope. Designed from a photograph taken in 1913, the founder of the Marietta Johnson Organic School is depicted with two of her students.

Most recently, Neumann was commissioned to sculpt the mythological figure Daphne, which will be installed at the new Daphne City Hall.

Neumann’s early background was in graphic arts. She attended the University of Cincinnati and went to work in Chicago studios right out of college.

“Usually the studios I worked in would have one major client, and you’d do small jobs in between,” Neumann recalls.

One major account was the Kenner Toy Co. for whom she did packaging graphics.

When asked if she was thinking about sculpture way back then she laughed and said, “Well, yes, because one of the things that Kenner had as a product was Play-Doh. The photography on the package had to be things made from Play-Doh, and I got heavily involved. Kenner Toy asked our studio to do an exhibit for their showroom in New York, for their toy fair, and that’s when I exhibited my work.”

Neumann continued, “That was about the time the Star Wars toys came out. The head of Kenner Toys was the man who came up with the concept of promoting a movie with toys, so we did a lot of that.”

While working in Chicago, Neumann discovered the nearby Evanston Art Center, which had a sculpture department. She worked full time, but every Tuesday evening she was off to sculpture class.

A number of years later she studied under Anna Koh Varilla, “the most particular teacher I ever had,” Neumann said. “Everything had to be checked.”

That careful attention to detail appealed to Neumann. “I learned a lot from her,” she said. “I was still going to her class when I retired.”

Neumann says that sculpting has always appealed to her because of the tactile aspects of the art.

“Something about working in clay is almost like therapy. You don’t think about anything else when you’re doing it. You’re concentrated on it. I’ve heard that from other people too. You don’t realize how fast the time goes by.”

Neumann looks pensive. “You get very few moments of pure joy when you’re working on something creative,” she said. “Finally, someone looks at the project and says, Oh, that’s wonderful!’”

But the most enjoyable part, she said, is the beginning. “You’re just full of anticipation.”

Neumann will be honored as one of only 42 Alabama sculptors participating in the Alabama Sculptural Invitational. The showing can be seen at the Eastern Shore Art Center in Fairhope, 401 Oak St. Neumann will be exhibiting two sculptures, one of which is a self-portrait.

The show opens for Friday ArtWalk, Aug. 3, 6 to 8 p.m. For more information, call ESAC at 928-2228.

July 2007 Auctioning off the Galaxy... For a Great Cause! - StarWars.com
From action figures to ceramic money boxes, for 30 years an endless variety of Star Wars branded fun has been available to fans. But vintage items are becoming harder and harder to find.
Through the generosity of the vaunted Lucas Licensing Archives, Celebration Europe will be the site of a live charity auction that will include rare, classic items -- many in mint to near-mint condition.
The Live Auction will offer a rare opportunity to fill in collections -- or start new ones -- of cool, vintage items. Looking for Power of the Force or Animated Droids & Ewoks figures or vehicles? How about 'minty' Radio-Controlled Jawa Sandcrawlers or JC Penney Sonic-Controlled Landspeeders from the original Star Wars era?
The bounty is broad: Kenner action figures from the USA, play sets, carry-cases, vehicles, role-play, weapons, creatures, and more covering all three original movies and the Power of the Force line; early ceramic money boxes of Darth Vader, R2-D2, and C-3PO; collector plates; UK school supplies; lunchboxes; games... and lots more.
'We are really excited to give our fans and collectors in Europe the opportunity to pick up a 'treasure' from the Licensing Archives,' said Howard Roffman, president of Lucas Licensing. 'We've gone through and picked some really choice items. We know that the people attending Celebration Europe include some of our most loyal fans and it's great to be able to give them something back and have all proceeds go to a truly great charity.'
Why pay online auction prices? Here's your opportunity to 'steal' a rare item at a very low price and benefit a wonderful cause, the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, with which Lucasfilm Ltd. -- and the worldwide 501st Legion -- has had a long relationship.

Underground Artists Take on the Sith in The Vader Project - StarWars.com

Underground Artists Take on the Sith in The Vader Project
Pop surrealist, graffiti, tattoo, lowbrow, comic and underground artists Shag, Paul Frank, Tim Biskup, Frank Kozik, Marc Ecko, Amanda Visell, Tim Biskup, J. Otto Seibold, Gary Baseman, Joe Ledbetter, Urban Medium and Jeff Soto, among others, show their allegiance to the dark side by customizing Darth Vader helmets in landmark gallery exhibition called The Vader Project, to debut at Star Wars Celebration IV on May 24 to 28 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The Vader Project is presented by Master Replicas, and curated by Dov Kelemer of DKE Toys, one of the largest designer vinyl and art-toy distributors in the world, exclusively representing over 50 companies, artists, and designers. Kelemer gathered the hottest underground and pop surrealist painters, artists and designers and gave each artist a Master Replicas 1:1 scale prop replica of the Darth Vader helmet used in the Star Wars films. Each helmet served as a blank canvas for each artist to paint, design, mash up and customize in their own unique style.

'Most of these artists are involved in the designer vinyl and art toy community so they understand customizing a 3D object even if they are 2D artists, painters and designers,' Kelmer explains. 'I tried to have all the different communities represented. The designer toy scene is really an eclectic group of artists. They come from all different backgrounds. On one hand you have this urban graffiti street art culture, the lowbrow pop surrealist group, then there is the whole culture of Asian inspired 'cute' art, rock poster art, and Japanese Kaiju, of course. Most have nothing to do with one another but it's all the same culture in the toy world.'

Kenner Toys 1977 Star Wars toys expected to flop!
A LONG, long time ago, in a country, far, far away, George Lucas's space opera, Star Wars, debuted on May 25, 1977.
With the 30th anniversary upon us, it's hard to believe the impact the first and subsequent movies have had, especially since the original was beleaguered with so many problems and naysayers.
Storms, cast injuries and Lucas spending half the special effects budget on four shots, were just the tip of the Hoth iceberg. The crew was disrespectful, feeling they were shooting a silly children's film. Harrison Ford, who played Han Solo, famously said, 'You can type this shit, George, but you sure can't say it.'
The first edit of the film was such a disaster Lucas sacked those concerned and had the movie completely re-edited.
When the movie was finally released in 37 cinemas in the US, it broke 36 house records. Within three weeks of its release, 20th Century Fox's stock price had doubled.
The story of an ordinary young man on the cusp of manhood finding he has powers, a family and an entire universe to save, entered the socio-cultural imagination. Arguably, it's never left – just ask Harry Potter.
Characters such as R2D2, C3PO, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker (a poorly disguised recasting of Lucas – Luke S), Obi Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Jedi Knights in shining plastic and the emphysemic Darth Vader, as well as concepts such as the quasi-mystical Force, light sabres, doughnut hairdos and dysfunctional father-son relationships entered not just our consciousness but, through savvy merchandising, our homes, depleting many bank accounts in the process.
While we acknowledge the artistic legacy that Lucas's movies have left, we don't often discuss the impact that Star Wars, as a business, has had on film merchandising.
Commercially savvy despite his geekiness, Lucas understood the potential force of commodities. Kenner Toys, which had a contract to create products for the film, was convinced it would flop. When demand outstripped supply in 1977, they were forced to sell empty boxes with a toy voucher that could be redeemed in March the following year. It was the Christmas that, for Star Wars fans at least, Santa didn't come to town.

March 2007 Gundam VS Starwars

Gundam VS Starwars

For those who dont know, Google Trends is a tool that allows you to compare search volumes of particular keywords - a rough measure of popularity for a particular subject over a period of time.
Done a comparison of Gundam vs Starwars (in Japanese) to find Gundam being far more popular - no surprises here. I then done a search for the same terms in English expecting to find Starwars being much more popular than Gundam and was surprised to see that the difference was trivial (see graph below). Gundam it seems has gained much ground outside of Japan too.

I grew up on Starwars but only discovered Gundam recently a few years back. Starwars comes and disappears for a few years - maybe the new TV series will bring the fever back? Gundam however seems to always be alive - theres always Gundam-something going on (Gunota is the best source).
A tough decision but for now its Gundam for me. The idea of Piloting a Mobile Suit is just too cool ^^;

The latest wave of Star Wars figures sporting the new 30th anniversary packaging design are now at StarWarsShop in case packs of 12 -- and, each figure comes with a collectible coin! Two of each of these figures from A New Hope and Revenge of the Sith are included in each case pack, as well as one figure from the Ralph McQuarrie Signature Series:

Rebel Honor Guard -- A constant scarcity of materials means that many Alliance officers lack dress uniforms. However, a few of the survivors of Alderaan -- a planet once rich in ceremony -- have retained theirs. It is these survivors who serve as honor guard to Luke, Han and Chewbacca in thanks for their efforts in destroying the Death Star over Yavin.
Han Solo -- A scoundrel through and through, Han Solo nonetheless adheres to a deep sense of right and wrong. He couldn't leave his new friends behind to what he felt was certain death. Though some might call his arrival at the Battle of Yavin late, he prefers to say that he was 'just in time.'
Luke Skywalker -- Young and impulsive, Luke was already a phenomenal pilot when he arrived at the Rebel base on Yavin, having developed his skills hot-dogging his T-16 through Beggar's Canyon. Even so, without trusting in the Force, he might never have landed the proton torpedoes that destroyed the Death Star.
Death Star Trooper -- Wearing black uniforms and distinctive helmets, Death Star troopers are chosen from the ranks of the Imperial Navy Troopers to defend key installations. When not in combat, these well-trained soldiers and guards provide security, handle hangar traffic control, and monitor sensor arrays.
Biggs Darklighter -- As talented a pilot as his friend Luke Skywalker, Biggs joins the Imperial Academy, but what he sees there opens his eyes to the brutality of the Empire. He defects to the Rebel Alliance and serves heroically, but is blown out of the air by Darth Vader at the Battle of Yavin.
McQuarrie Signature Series Boba Fett -- Boba Fett was one of the first new characters to be designed for The Empire Strikes Back. The costume began as a Mandalorian supercommando suit and went through various designs, as well as being aged, dented, and painted to give it a battle-scarred appearance. Its final look hides a plethora of built-in weapons -- and the identity of the ruthless bounty hunter it encases. Action figure comes with interchangeable helmet, weapon, flame burst and coin.

Tomy May 2007 Exclusive Weathered R2-D2 Remote Control Action Figure - StarWars.com

Exclusive Weathered R2-D2 Remote Control Action Figure
starwars.com/kernel/imageload?table=cat_images;ttl2=15;key1=405935_img1;key2=-100_img1 name=popup_image> In addition to being fair-weathered, Artoo is a well-weathered droid. This new 'weathered' R2-D2 is the fourth in Tomy's popular remote-controlled mini-astromech series offered exclusively in the U.S. by StarWarsShop.
Imported from Japan, this U.S. exclusive comes close to the scale of Hasbro's action figure version, and includes all the bells and whistles (literally!) that has made the astromech design a favorite among fans.
With the mini-lightsaber remote, R2-D2 will move forward or turn on command, rotate his dome as he rolls, beep and whistle, and illuminate his photoreceptor 'eye'. R2-D2 measures approximately 2.5' tall, and includes batteries for the remote and the droid himself.
Attractive window box packaging attractively displays both R2-D2 and the lightsaber remote.

Execute Order 66 Exclusively at Target
January 23, 2007

[ Execute Order 66 Exclusively at Target ]starwars.com/collecting/news/hasbro/img/20070123_2_sm.jpg align=right vspace=7 > Collectors who reserve a special place on their display shelf for the scores of different clone and stormtrooper action figures better make room -- Hasbro is to release a series of six Order 66 two-packs exclusively to Target in the coming months!
The Order 66 series, which includes new repaints and some re-sculpts, is scheduled to appear at Target soon, just as the new 30th Anniversary basic figures are making their way to store shelves. Each trooper will be accompanied by a Jedi figure that is associated with it in Revenge of the Sith. Hasbro Marketing Team's Derryl Depriest explains:
'We didn't strictly follow the Order 66 scenes from the film, but rather paired up a Jedi and a clone that would be a member of their own personal battalion. Order 66 then became more symbolic of the trust and yet ultimate betrayal relationship between the Jedi and their clones. In fact, we wanted to pack out the clone off to the side of, but a little behind their Jedi to heighten that tension in the package. We also wanted to deliver new clones that we hadn't seen before but would expand the role of each battalion... adding the AT-RT driver to Utapau, an airborne trooper to the 501st, etc.'
[ Execute Order 66 Exclusively at Target ]starwars.com/collecting/news/hasbro/img/20070123_1_sm.jpg align=left vspace=7 > Pictured here are three of the six new packages, including Galactic Marine (new sculpt) and Mace Windu, AT-RT Driver (repaint) and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Airborne Trooper (new sculpt) and Anakin Skywalker, which will be offered in the stunning cylindrical packaging made popular with the Unleashed series. 'We have been using the cylinder form in a couple of other projects,' continues Depriest. 'The re-releases of Unleashed 7-inch figures and also for the re-release of the Interactive R2-D2. We just thought it was a natural for a 3.75-inch expression and the idea of the Jedi/clone packs and the round package just fell into place.'

Starting February 2, Hasbro is inviting fans to show the world just how they use their new Force Action Lightsaber -- literally! By posting a video demonstrating how you use your Force Action Lightsaber to a special YouTube group (to be announced Feb. 2), you could win a trip for four to Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles and a one-of-a-kind chrome Force Action Lightsaber!
Video submissions will be judged on how creative, humorous, and just plain original you can be in imagining new and different uses for the Force Action Lightsaber. To enter, you simply need to make your video, upload it, fill out an entry form, and tell your friends to check it out. Details on which YouTube group to upload to and where to fill out the entry form will be announced the first week of February.

 • Videos may not show the lightsaber harming people or animals. Any video containing this will not be considered or posted
 • Further rules and details to be posted Feb. 2

Execute Order 66 Exclusively at Target
StarWars.com, CA - Jan 23, 2007

Collectors who reserve a special place on their display shelf for the scores of different clone and stormtrooper action figures better make room -- Hasbro is to release a series of six Order 66 two-packs exclusively to Target in the coming months!

There seems to be no shortage of enthusiasm for Hasbro's continuing line of different clone troopers. Depriest believes he understands why fans are so committed to this series of figures. 'The answer really is tied into the true nature of the evil Empire... an evil that powerful needed a vast army of faceless enforcers, so troopers are a very important part of the Star Wars mythos, and an important arena for collectors to concentrate on to recreate the Star Wars experience on shelf. It's also fun to build a whole squad of troopers... having more of them makes the whole seem greater than the sum of the parts.'
Depriest suggests that there may be more in the Order 66 series, but Habsro will wait to see how these initial six two-packs perform before making any concrete plans to expand. He's optimistic, however. 'We think they'll be a big hit with collectors and kids alike.'

Hasbro 2006 Action Figure Case Pack Wave 7 - StarWars.com

2006 Action Figure Case Pack Wave 7
StarWars.com, CA -
Wave 7 of Hasbro's 2006 Basic Figure assortment is :
 • Clone Trooper Sergeant -- The clone troopers make their first appearance on the planet Geonosis as the Grand Army of the Republic. All the genetic engineering and training have led up to this climactic moment, when the clones will prove their value as an effective and relentless fighting force against the Separatists and their droid armies.
 • Clone Trooper 5th Fleet Security (x2) -- The clone troopers are the future of galactic warfare: identical beings unencumbered by doubts or emotions, programmed from their 'birth' in the cloning facilities on Kamino to be unswervingly loyal to the Republic, and engineered for supreme strength and stamina. Their dedication is unquestioned... until it is too late.
 • Battledroids 2-pack -- The Separatists send in waves of battle droids in their attempt to conquer the strategically important world of Kashyyyk. The droids are painted with special markings to help them blend into the dense jungle foliage. The fierce Wookiee warriors, joined by the formidable Yoda, resist the droid onslaught with all their might.
 • Chewbacca Cloud City Escape -- The Wookiee warrior Chewbacca battles beside fellow warrior Tarfful to save their home planet from the invading Separatist forces. Yoda leads the courageous fight to save Kashyyyk from domination.
 • Holographic Commander Cody -- Armed and ready for battle, Commander Cody orders his forces to mark their posts and maintain their positions at all costs. They're in for a real firefight with the Separatist droid armies who are protecting General Grievous on Utapau. Although his current mission is to protect Obi-Wan Kenobi, this commander and his troops will later change allegiances.
 • Clone Trooper 442nd Seige Battallion (x2) -- As the droid armies descend upon Utapau, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Cody lead a team of clone troopers into battle. Their mission is to protect Obi-Wan and help capture General Grievous at all costs. These troopers fight bravely for Jedi Master Kenobi until their allegiances change after the execution of Order Sixty-Six.
 • Darth Maul Sith Training -- The chosen apprentice of the Sith Lord, Darth Maul has undergone years of demanding and sometimes brutal training in order to become a Sith. After expertly wielding his lightsaber to prove his skill, he bows respectively before his master.
 • Kit Fisto -- Only a few Jedi lived through the extended melee on Geonosis marking the start of the Clone Wars. Kit Fisto was one the brave survivors. He went on to aid the Mon Calamari by leading the Clone Troopers in an underwater battle. As an amphibious Nautolan with the ability to breathe underwater, he specializes in challenges like these!
 • R5-A1 Imperial Astromech Droid -- One of several Imperial astromech droids that serve aboard the Death Star.
 • Super Battle Droid -- Manufactured by Count Dooku, the tough, deadly and durable super battle droids are used by the Separatist forces in battle. These droid armies clash with the clone troopers throughout the galaxy.
