About Coleco    
Coleco Industries, which was founded in 1932 as a leather products company, has a history that mimics a roller-coaster ride. Founded by Russian immigrant Maurice Greenberg, the shop originally sold leather supplies to shoemakers. Greenberg's son Leonard, who was fascinated by manufacturing, set up a small factory in the back of his father's shop. Here he created a leather cutting machine, which eventually led to a thriving business in leather craft kits. Since the craze with children at the time included Davy Crockett and Howdy Doody, the kits sold well. Buoyed by this success, Leonard next designed and built a plastic-forming machine, which he used to manufacture wading pools. Later made pudgy-faced little dolls known as Cabbage Patch.

Coleco 1985 Sectaurs - co-invented by Maureen Trotto

Ms. Maureen Trotto is the founding partner of Thin Air, LLC, formed in 1984 to create and produce new and exciting concepts for toys, television, film and theater.
She is a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University Drama Department in theatrical design, and has served as a member of the executive board of the CMU Alumni Association.
Ms. Trotto is co-inventor of the popular boys action figure line Sectaurs, manufactured by Coleco in 1985 and of Boglins, released by Mattel at Toy Fair 1988.
Among Thin Air's many successes are Bead Blast Barbie for Mattel, Shoezies, Lite Brite Loops, Travel Lite Brite for Hasbro, Total Meltdown for Radica, Singing Surprise Strawberry Shortcake for Bandai and Barbie's Fashion Fever Styling Face.
