Jazwares Inc. Nov 2007 Real Heroes - America's Army Action Figures Leap Into ... Action - Escapist Magazine

The figures are manufactured and distributed by Jazwares Inc. and available at Toys 'R' Us stores across the country. Developed in close conjunction with the U.S. Army to ensure authenticity, the figures come with a Real Heroes trading card highlighting their heroic accomplishments and Warrior Ethos, as well as authentic uniforms, weapons, insignias and awards. The program is designed to give people a look at the accomplishments of American soldiers who have demonstrated bravery and valor in action. The initial launch will include four Real Hero soldiers: Sergeant Tommy Riemen of the 51st Long Range Surveillance Infantry, Sergeant First Class Gerald Wolford of the 82nd Airborne, Staff Sergeant Matthew Zedwick of the 2-162 Infantry and Major Jason Amerine of the 5th Special Forces Group. First launched in 2002 as a free recruitment tool, America's Army quickly became an immensely popular online multiplayer FPS, spawning numerous expansions and releases on other platforms. As of August, the game is reported to have over 8.6 million registered accounts. More information about the game and the America's Army Real Heroes program is available at www.americasarmy.com. jazwares.com/content/products/popup_products/JAZWARES_ARMY_02.jpg width=800>

Jazwares Mortal Kombat Series 2: Shaolin Monks - Comic Book Bin
While shopping in Toys 'R US for a gift for my step-daughter on her birthday, I came across a beautiful, yet villainous figure based on a popular video game, and sculpted by a virtually unknown toy company. If you want to know more, then please read on.

Jazwares, Inc. is stepping up their game with the latest series of Mortal Kombat figures based on the hit arcade franchise. This company first started off with a quick delve in the Street Fighter video game based action figures. Now Jazwares is attempting to show that they are serious and want to be well received in the action figure world by making very good renditions of everyone's favorite arcade heroes and villains and bringing them to 6-inch life. With the release of the Shaolin Monks, Jazwares Inc, has jumped light years ahead of their earlier product. As of now, I found two main toy lines from this local company from Florida. Mortal Kombat and a line of figures called 'Stormbreakers'. I know nothing about the characters in Stormbreakers, but the new MK figures are cool. While the Kung Lao and Liu Kang firues look good, they lack the facial tightness of the latest editions of Sub-Zero and Scorpion. And since it was the villain that really caught my eye, I bought Scorpion. This version of Scorpion is far better than the one figure released in the first series.
