There’s a new group of girls hitting retail shelves this summer, and they’re unlike any posse of fashionistas the world’s ever seen. Meet Cliq, the stylish dolls whose clothes, accessories, hairstyles and personalities can be entirely interchanged among all five characters. Never before have fashion dolls possessed the ability to transform so easily and completely from head to toe.
With just a few clicks, each doll can become an artist, a bookworm, a fashion bee, a rebel or an athlete – the options grow with each Cliq purchase. Every doll comes fully equipped with accessories to match her vibrant personality. No matter how much they change, the Cliq girls remain stylish and cool as ever.
“The styles are fresh, funky and accurately mirror the high school lifestyle,” comments Chris Overly, Design Director of Manley Toys Ltd. “Young girls look to their older sisters and baby sitters as role models, and Cliq creates an opportunity for them to emulate their fashion choices and behavior.”
“We wanted to create a competitive line of dolls that has a unique play pattern and can relate to girls ages four to twelve,” continues Overly. “When testing our product against the competition in the small fashion doll category, we found that girls in this age group loved the unique functions of our dolls.”
Cliq will debut on retail shelves worldwide on June 20, 2004 with an aggressive fourth quarter TV and publicity campaign. New characters, accessories and play sets will be premiering through 2005. Look out for the coolest crew in school!
